Adult Continuing Education
Adult Continuing Education provides a supportive and flexible learning environment designed to meet the unique needs of adult learners at every stage of life. Classes are offered Monday through Wednesday from 12:30–2:30, making it easier for participants to balance learning with work, family responsibilities, or other commitments. The program is open to adults of all ages and abilities who are interested in building new skills, strengthening existing ones, or working toward personal, academic, or professional goals.
Instruction is fully individualized and guided by a learner-centered approach. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all curriculum, each participant works closely with a certified teacher to develop an Individualized Education Plan, or IEP. This plan is tailored to the learner’s specific strengths, needs, and objectives. Whether the focus is improving reading and writing skills, strengthening math knowledge, developing workplace readiness, increasing digital literacy, or preparing for future educational opportunities, the IEP ensures that instruction is relevant and meaningful.
Certified teachers provide consistent guidance, encouragement, and instruction in a respectful and inclusive setting. Lessons are adapted to match each learner’s pace, allowing participants to progress comfortably while still being challenged. This personalized structure helps build confidence, promotes independence, and supports long-term success. Adult learners are encouraged to take an active role in their education, helping shape goals and track progress along the way.
Classes are provided at no cost to the learner, removing financial barriers and making education accessible to anyone who wishes to continue learning. This commitment to free instruction reflects a belief that education should remain available throughout adulthood and that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and achieve new goals.
Adult Continuing Education is ideal for individuals seeking personal enrichment, skill development, or preparation for future academic or career pathways. The program values diversity, respects individual experiences, and fosters a positive learning community where adults feel welcomed and supported.
